SENATORS GAME RECAP

SENATORS ROUT THE FISHER CATS 10-2

Saturday night the Senators made it three in a row over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats with a 10-2 win. No late inning heroics were needed for the Senators as they scored early and then broke the game open with a six-run fifth inning.

The three hottest Senators continued to pound the ball as Justin Maxwell doubled twice, extending his hitting streak to nine games; Luke Montz had two hits including a three-run home run in the fifth and Roger Bernadina who had four hits in the win. All told, the Sens had 18 hits against the Fisher Cats.

Bobby Brownlie worked six innings for his second win of the season allowing a single unearned run. Harrisburg is now 4-0 this season in games that Brownlie has started. Tim Bittner followed with two solid innings of relief and Beltran Perez got the final three outs, allowing a run, in the win.

Seven different Senators had at least two hits in their offensive explosion. Andrew Lefave and Marco Yepez had their first multi-hit games of the season. Mike Daniel broke out of his mini-slump with three hits. They also stole two bases, their 26th and 27th steals of the season in just the 16th game of the season.

Commerce Bank Park has been kind to the Sens thus far this season as they moved to 7-2 at home. The Senators look for their first four-game home series sweep since August, 1999 on Sunday afternoon. Harrisburg sends RH Shairon Martis to the mound against RH Scott Richmond for New Hampshire.
