SENATORS SNAP LOSING STREAK WITH 7-5 WIN
Ryan Church hits two solo homers in win
The Senators snapped their four game losing streak on Thursday afternoon with a 7-5 win over the Erie SeaWolves. Justin Echols, Dan Kolb, and Roy Corcoran combined to strike out 14 batters for the Senators. Ryan Church began the day one for twelve but hit solo home runs in his first two at bats. Josh Whitesell homered as well, his team leading seventh of the season, and Rich Lane had a big two-run bases loaded single in the sixth inning to break a 4-4 tie. Jesus Feliciano singled in a run in the eighth for the final margin for the Senators. Dan Kolb picked up his second win in relief, and Roy Corcoran his 13th save, going the final 2.1 innings. The Senators now embark upon their longest road trip of the season, three cities, eleven games, in ten days, and they will take a 24-22 record with them. On Friday night in New Hampshire, RHP Beltran Perez will be on the mound for the Senators. The game gets started at 6:35pm and can be heard on 1460 The Ticket and through the Senators website beginning at 6:05pm with Senators weekly.
