SENATORS FALL 3-1
Phillies take series 2 games to 1
On Sunday afternoon in Reading, the Senators couldn't put together much offense in falling to the Reading Phillies 3-1. David Maust started and pitched six strong innings, but picked up his third loss of the season in the ballgame. The Senators fell behind 2-0 in the first, but came right back with a run in the second and had runners on first and second with no outs, but could not come up with a much needed hit. From then on out it was all Scott Mathieson for the Phillies. The Senators only mustered seven hits in the game, with two coming in the ninth inning with two outs. The Senators road trip continues on Monday night in New Britain as the Senators start a four-game series with the Rock Cats. The game can be heard on 1460 The Ticket beginning at 6:20pm with the first pitch set for 6:35pm.
